Imagine being the holistic, crunchy, woo woo mumma while your child's safe food is ham and cheese pizza and an LCM bar..

As a a mum who cares about gut health, nourishment and all the “right” things this is currently what’s on repeat in our house with one of my kiddos

Ham and cheese pizza

Toasties

2 minute noodles

Toast

Scrambled eggs (this is a new food 🎉)

and yep more ham and cheese pizza

If you’re a mum living this too, I SEE YOU!!!! 👀

I see the internal battle every single day

Wanting to nourish their body so deeply while also just trying to get any food in

The guilt when you pack the safe foods

The anxiety at playdates when everyone else’s kids are eating veggie sticks and bliss balls while you quietly pull out the crackers, chips or LCM bar and suddenly feel like every eye is on you.

You brace yourself for that comment

“They’ll eat healthy food if they’re hungry enough.” 😬

Unless you’ve lived this you probably don’t understand how heartbreaking that sentence can feel.

Some children genuinely won’t and some will  spew, gag, panic, shut down or go the entire day barely eating while the mum sits there stressing about it all

What people don’t see are the late nights googling, the appointments, all the money spent trying every recommendation annnnnnd the  mental load of worrying about nutrients while also trying not to create shame, fear or trauma around food

Most mums in this are already judging themselves

So this is your reminder mumma

You’re not lazy or failing and you certainly aren’t a bad mum because your child only eats four beige foods.

Fed really is best!!

And if you’ve ever judged another mum for her child’s food choices, please remember you rarely know the full story she’s carrying behind those doors

Anyone else out here serving the same three meals on repeat? 😬😅
